Kremlin attacked on the eve of Victory Day celebrations.

On the 3rd of May 2023, Kremlin accused Ukraine, in official declarations, of attempting to murder the Russian President Vladimir Putin, in what it claims to be a planned terrorist attack with two drones at the headquarters of the Russian Presidency.

Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky has already declared to the public that Ukraine had no responsibility for the Kremlin’s attack and that it is merely defending its territory.

According to Podoliak, Zelenksy’s advisor, Moscow “is very afraid of the start of Ukraine’s frontline offensives and is trying in any case to take the initiative, divert attention”.

In its turn, Antony Blinken, US head of diplomacy, states that the US will take Russian statements and everything that comes from them very carefully.

Charles III coronated at the age of 73.

Charles III and Camila were coronated this Saturday, the 6th of May 2023, as king and queen of the United Kingdom. The ceremony, held in Westminster Abbey, was attended by about 2,000 guests, including Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and was followed by thousands on the streets of London.

The ceremony that marks the rise of Charles III as “His Majesty Charles III, by the Grace of God, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and his other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith” was smaller than usual, at the request of the new monarch, but costed at least 113 million euros.

In a time where the weight of the monarchy is not the same, specially between young people, whose percentage of those who support the monarchy is set at 32%. The new monarch, who is succeeding the 70-year reign of his mother, Elizabeth II, guarantees that he will continue his dedication to serving the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
