After reigning for 70 years, Queen Elizabeth II has died
Elizabeth II, Queen of England, has died last Thursday at 96. She was the longest reigning monarch in British history and whose longevity only fell behind former French King Louis XIV in the European scale. Buckingham Palace has announced her “peaceful” death late afternoon on Twitter, after over 5 hours of apprehension about her health status.
